Floral Bookmarks

Bookmark Design

This personal project is a set of floral bookmarks that I created to unite my passion for reading with my love for design. I chose to use bright pastel colors for the bookmarks to complement the floral patterns and give the viewer a sense of springtime. I also placed quotes on reading from three popular authors — C. S. Lewis, George R. R. Martin, and Margaret Atwood — on each bookmark. I began the project by creating the bookmarks in illustrator and adjusting the design to print on a glowforge laser cutter. It took me several tries with different materials and settings to get the result displayed below.
